ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Gabriela (Chanchita) Riveros is an illustrator / designer based in Milwaukee, WI. She's Paraguayan-American and an empanada enthusiast. She has a BFA in illustration from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. She's currently a freelance illustrator and a product development artist for Kohl’s. Her work is inspired mostly by culture, art history and everything mythical and magical. She often draws from the past and her Latinx heritage. Multi-cultural identities, community and equality, and under-represented stories are an integral part in her work as an illustrator.
